The tricolour jersey, decided over one weekend.
12–14 June 2026 · Cluj-Napoca, Cluj
Three days, three disciplines: time trial, road race, and where the program allows, the Under-23 and Junior road races. The Romanian National Road Cycling Championship is contested by federation-licensed riders for the right to wear the tricolour jersey at every other race for the next twelve months. No prize purse worth chasing — just the title.

What this race means
The National Championship is the highest single-day prize on the Romanian road calendar — but it also feeds federation selection downstream. Results inform Lot Național Șosea (national team) calls for the Balkan and European Championships, and Elite UCI ranking points roll into the rider's individual UCI standing.
Lot Național Șosea — selection for Balkan Championships and European Championships flows from CN results plus Cupa României points across the season.
UCI Continental ranking — Elite results carry UCI points scaled by the UCI's CN classification.
Tricolour jersey rights — the winner wears the tricolour jersey in every UCI race for the next 12 months, per UCI National Champion advertising rules.
Olympic pathway — Elite results feed into UCI Nation ranking that determines Romania's Olympic quota.
