The disciplines
Pumptrack and trial are not the same sport
They share a title day but almost nothing else. Both are contested on closed, purpose-built facilities rather than on a route, which is why there is no course map on this page.
Pumptrack
A short, looped circuit of rollers and banked turns. Riders generate speed by pumping the bike into and out of the terrain rather than pedalling, and are timed over a lap — usually in head-to-head or against-the-clock formats.
Trial
A precision discipline over a series of obstacle sections. Riders must clear each section without putting a foot down; penalties are counted rather than time, and the lowest score wins.

About the event
FAQ
Questions
Where is it held?
The federation has published only “București”. The specific pumptrack facility has not been named yet.
How do I enter?
No registration form has been published for this event. Entries for FRC championships normally run through the federation; check the FRC calendar page for updates.
Is there a course map?
No, and there will not be one. Pumptrack and trial are both contested on closed, purpose-built facilities rather than over a route, so there is no GPX track to follow.
What is the difference between pumptrack and trial?
Pumptrack is a timed lap of a looped circuit of rollers and banked turns, ridden by pumping rather than pedalling. Trial is a precision discipline scored by penalties across obstacle sections, where the aim is to clear each section without a foot down.
Has the date changed?
Yes. The championship was listed in June earlier in the season and now appears on 19 September. Re-check the FRC calendar before making plans.
