An alpine debut in the Ceahlău
Maratonul Muntelui Ceahlău opens its very first edition in one of Romania's most iconic massifs. Runners gather at Camping Leon in Stațiunea Durău and head out across marked mountain trails that rise from the resort toward the high ground of the Ceahlău.
The marathon runs the full 42.2 km from Camping Leon to Izvorul Muntelui, the semimarathon covers 22.6 km with a turnaround at 1000 m altitude, and the 10 km cross turns back at 933 m — three ways to take on the mountain on its opening day.

About the event
Maratonul Muntelui Ceahlău (MMC) ajunge la ediția a II-a pe 27 iunie 2026, în Stațiunea Durău, județul Neamț. Este o competiție de alergare 100% pe șosea, desfășurată în zonă montană pe Drumul Axial Durău–Izvorul Muntelui (DJ155F), în interiorul Parcului Național Ceahlău. Organizator: Direcția Județeană pentru Sport și Tineret Neamț, co-organizator Rotary Club Piatra Neamț 2005.
Trasee
- Maraton — 42,2 km, întoarcere la Izvorul Muntelui (start 10:00; cut-off 6 h)
- Semimaraton — 23 km, întoarcere la altitudinea de 1000 m (start 10:00; cut-off 4 h)
- Cursa Scurtă — 10 km, întoarcere după 5 km la 941 m altitudine (start 10:00; cut-off 2 h)
Start/sosire comune în Camping Leon (728 m altitudine). Traseu contracronometru, individual; 4 puncte de alimentare plus unul la start/sosire.
Înscrieri
- Taxă: 200 lei/persoană, aceeași pentru toate cursele. Cei care achită până la 1 iunie primesc tricou personalizat în kit; înscrierile în ziua cursei (8:00–9:00) nu includ tricou.
- Înscriere online pe neamtmaraton.ro (activă 1 aprilie–1 iunie); plată cu card pe cronometrajonline.ro. Doar 18+.
- Premii (Open): Maraton 1500/1000/800 lei; Semimaraton 900/700/500 lei; Cursa Scurtă 600/500/400 lei.

- Start/sosire: Camping Leon, Durău, Neamț
- Ridicare kituri: vineri 26.06, 18:00–22:00; sâmbătă 27.06, 07:00–09:00. Ședință tehnică vineri 20:00.
- Echipament obligatoriu: încălțăminte de alergare, bidon ≥0,5 l plin, telefon, folie de ploaie.
