Ultra Race Romania

Ultra Race Romania is a self-supported multi-stage race: 250 km over 6 stages through the wilderness of the Romanian mountains, with runners carrying everything they need for the week. "Where Legends Meet." The field is capped at 50 runners.

Course

• 250 km across 6 stages: 32 km, 37 km, 46 km, 68 km (long stage), 43 km and a 16 km finale.
• Time limits: 12h on stages 1, 2 and 5; 13h on stage 3; 36h on the long stage 4; 4h on the final stage.
• Stage racing runs 4–10 August, with a rest day on 8 August.

Registration

• Entry fee: 2,875 EUR — payable in full, or as a non-refundable 500 EUR deposit plus five monthly instalments of 475 EUR (balance due by 31 May 2026).
• Alumni who have finished a previous edition get a 20% discount.
• Withdrawals more than 100 days before the start are refunded 500 EUR; later withdrawals are not refunded.
• A passport copy, repatriation insurance and a doctor-signed medical certificate with an EKG taken within 30 days of the race must be presented at the pre-race medical check.

Good to know

• Start: Camp 1 near Siriu, Buășu — competitors gather in Bucharest (House of the Parliament) at noon on 3 August and are bussed to camp.
• The fee includes tent accommodation for the race, water at checkpoints and camps, medical cover, SPOT live tracking, bus transfers, a finisher's medal, T-shirt and custom bib.
• It also covers a two-day post-race trip: two nights in Brașov with meals, plus visits to Bran and Peleș castles.
