Three rounds, one champion. Romania's top downhill mountain bike racers throw down on the country's gnarliest tracks — and the start gate is open to anyone willing to drop in.

Categories by birth year (FRC §5.4.4). M and W race separately within each.
Born 1997–2007 (ages 19–29). UCI-points eligible. The category at the front of the start list.
Born 2008–2009 (ages 17–18). UCI-points eligible. May opt up to Elite for the season.
Born 2010–2011 (ages 15–16). Recommended protection list is mandatory at this age (FRC §9.7).

Selected rounds carry UCI C1 / C2 points — race here and your results travel.
Practice and race days run on chairlift / shuttle uplift. Less push, more laps.

Registration closes 72 hours before the official start. After that you can still spectate — the pit and finish arena are open all weekend.
Born 2012–2013 (ages 13–14). Recommended protection list is mandatory at this age (FRC §9.7).
M1: 30–39 (1987–1996), M2: 40–49 (1977–1986), M3: 50–59 (1967–1976). May opt up to Elite for the season.
Open class for amateur-license holders. Cannot race in a higher category in the same season (FRC §5.4.2).
Marshalled course, on-mountain medics, briefing morning of. Bring your back protector.
Final warm-up
Last practice access before the gates close for the final.
Final runs
One timed final per rider, 30s intervals, fastest time wins the category.
Podium + awards
Top 3 per category (top 5 at Cupa Națională rounds). Within 1h of category close.
Yes — every rider needs a valid UCI licence issued by FRC or an affiliated federation (§5.1). Only U19 and Elite are eligible for UCI points in UCI-registered rounds (§2.11). Amatori-licensed riders can only race in Amatori — not in higher categories (§5.4.2).
Practice → seeding run → final. Riders start individually at minimum 30-second intervals (§2.6). The seeding run sets the finals start order in reverse seeding. The fastest time in the FINAL wins the category (§2.3–2.4).
Per §9.5: full-face helmet with visor (DH-homologated), knee pads, long or short pants, bar-end plugs, and a spine protector. Per §9.6 recommended: chest protector, goggles, neck brace, elbow pads, full-finger gloves, long-sleeve top. For U15 and U17 the §9.6 list becomes mandatory (except the neck brace).
A mountain bike suitable for downhill. Per §5.6 the two wheels may be different diameters. Bar-end plugs are mandatory; traditional road bars are not allowed (§5.3). E-bikes (EPACs) are not permitted in DHI events (§5.4).
72 hours before the official start (§4.6, §6.3). Online registration opens at least 20 days before the race on the organiser's site, with a link reposted on the FRC ‘Înscrieri' page.
No — you race in the category your licence covers (§5.4.6). U19 and Master riders may opt up to Elite for the season; that choice is locked at round 1 (§5.4.3).
The President of the Jury can cancel after consultation with the organiser and the FRC technical delegate (§4.2). For Code-Red weather, date / time / venue can be moved subject to prior FRC approval (§7.8).
Everything in the §9.5 mandatory list plus the §9.6 recommended list — chest protector, goggles, elbow pads, full-finger gloves, long-sleeve top — except the neck brace, which stays recommended. A documented waiver is required for any goggles exception (§9.7).
